Sponsored: Give your water some flavor
Question: I feel like I should be drinking more water, but I really don’t like plain water. Any suggestions?
Answer: The good news is that many of the food you eat can help keep you keep hydrated, especially things like those juicy fruits like citrus fruits and melons. Even drinking coffee and tea will help with your hydration and fluid amount.
If you don’t like the taste of plain water, here are a few things to try:
• Flavoring drops – you can find a variety of flavoring drops at your local Ingles Market that can make your water taste like various fruits. These are often sweetened with stevia or another low or no calorie sweetener.
• Flavoring packets – look for small packets of concentrated lime or lemon powder. These have no added sweeteners and no no-calorie sweeteners.
• Add a squeeze of lemon, lime, or orange or a small amount of 100% fruit juice.

• Make your own “spa” water…Take a pitcher of water and add in slices of citrus fruits, berries, cucumber or fresh mint (or all of these).
• Make a cup of herbal tea – there are lots of options for herbal teas at Ingles Markets.
