The Drifters to bring doo-wop to Franklin

art driftersBennie Anderson and The Drifters will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, at the Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts in Franklin. The Sock Hops will open the show.

 

The group is a world-famous doo-wop and R&B vocal act. Anderson sings lead and has been an integral part of the group for more than four decades.  

The Sock Hops is an oldies group that recreates musical hits from the 1950s through the 1980s. They have opened concerts for The Temptations, Frankie Avalon, The Rascals and others.  

Tickets are $15 per person.
