Squirm Burpee Circus to perform at WCU

art circusThe Squirm Burpee Circus will perform at 5 p.m. Sunday, March 2, in the John W. Bardo Fine and Performing Arts Center at Western Carolina University. The performance is part of the 2013-14 Galaxy of Stars Series.

Billed as fun for the whole family, the show features a Cirque du Soleil-like aesthetic, with high-energy acts such as the Human Cannon, the Ladder of Love and chainsaw juggling, along with classic comedy routines, hilarious romantic antics and more.

The performance centers on the Baron Vegan von Hamburger, who is the humble host of the show and the sworn enemy of the Squirm Burpee Circus. Von Hamburger is in a constant struggle with Mike the Handsome and Dashing Dave, a pair of world-class jugglers and vaudeville performers

Tickets are $20 for adults; $15 for WCU faculty and staff; and $5 for students and children. Tickets are $15 per person for groups of 20 or more and $10 per person for groups of 50 or more.
