Birds of prey program swoops into Cherokee
A Birds of Prey program planned for 1 p.m., May 9, at the Oconaluftee Visitor Center will give visitors an up-close look at birds ranging from the eastern screech owl to the northern bald eagle.
Michael Skinner, executive director of Balsam Mountain Trust, will give the hour-long program in the trust’s third partnership with the National Park Service to provide it.
The program will be held in the Oconaluftee Multipurpose Room, adjacent to the visitor center on Newfound Gap Road.
