Step into the robot zoo
An exhibit using mechanics to show how real animals work is open through Jan. 3 at the N.C. Arboretum in Asheville.
Dubbed The Robot Zoo, the display reveals the magic of nature as a master engineer, including three robot animals and a variety of hands-on activities to illustrate fascinating real-life animal characteristics. Explore how chameleons change colors, platypuses sense prey with their bills and flies walk on the ceiling.
Free with standard parking fee of $12.
