Sheriff searching for break-in suspects

Haywood County Sheriff’s Office is searching for one or more individuals who around midnight Tuesday, Aug. 16, broke into the Quick Pantry store at 6147 Pigeon Road in Bethel.

Deputies responded to the store in reference to a store alarm. Upon arrival, officials observed glass on the front door had been broken. While clearing the building, deputies noticed the cash register had been broken into and money was missing.

Officials describe the suspect vehicle as a late '80s or early '90s model Toyota extended cab pickup truck, primer grey in color with a passenger side front corner panel that is a darker color than the rest of the truck.

The driver of the truck was a white male with either shaved hair or close-cut blonde hair, wearing a light colored T-Shirt with sleeves cut out, blue jeans and boots.

The person observed entering the store, who may or may not be the same person as the driver, was wearing a camouflage jacket, a dark colored hoodie, a mask and gloves.
