Opinions sought for Sylva improvements
State Transportation officials will host a public meeting Thursday, Feb. 23, on upgrading N.C. 107 through Sylva.
The proposed project would improve East Main Street between N.C. 116 and U.S. 23 Business by constructing a four-lane roadway with multiple options to relieve congestion and improve traffic operations. Four different design plans will be displayed during the informal gathering.
The meeting will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Conrad Burrell Building, Room 102C of Southwestern Community College at 447 College Drive in Sylva.
Transportation officials will be available to answer questions about the various alternatives to the receive comments about the project. There will be no formal presentation so residents can stop by anytime during the meeting hours.
Attendees have the opportunity to submit questions and comments until March 13.
