Wildlife ambassadors available for school programs
This summer’s Mountain Wildlife Days event in Sapphire was one of the most successful ever, and Mountain Wildlife Outreach will use the funds raised to provide live animal programs in Western North Carolina schools this academic year.
For a limited time, these programs are available free of charge. They feature live wolves, raptors, reptiles, amphibians and more, accompanied by handlers who can unlock the wonders of the wild creatures they steward for the children attending. Presentations are designed to engage students in a special way regarding wild lives and wild places.
