Outdoor seating at restaurants now prohibited
As of March 20, North Carolina Environmental Health closes all restaurant seating areas, including outdoor seating, immediately.
As of March 20, North Carolina’s Environmental Health Section Chief, Larry Michael, has directed the closure of all restaurant seating areas immediately. No indoor nor outdoor consumption of food is permitted.
Bars are also directed to close immediately. Restaurants are restricted to carry-out, drivethrough, and delivery only, to ensure that food is available. State and local law enforcement agencies are responsible for enforcement of Executive Order 118 and the Order of Abatement.
