Missing teen reported in Jackson County

UPDATE Sept. 9: Lafon has been found safe and unharmed.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance locating missing teenager Aaliyah Lafon.

Lafon is a 14-year-old white female who is 5 feet tall and 120 pounds with dyed burgundy hair, shaved on sides. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and pink shorts in the Savannah community of Jackson County around 4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 7. She may be enroute to the Asheville area.
