Join Special Two-Day Workshop For Mother's Day

Leigh-Ann Renz is offering a special retreat-style workshop at Waynesville Yoga over Mother’s Day weekend.

It’s a deep dive into the yamas & niyamas (the philosophy of Yoga), with tea and yummy snacks woven in to help celebrate the medicine of all women, mothers, and daughters.

The Yamas & Niyamas are yogic tools for growth, healing, and evolution… time-tested principles for being a better human. Not only can they increase effectiveness, efficiency, happiness, and health for your own benefit, they can also empower you to interact better with others – and we can all use help with that! ?

The five Niyamas are personal observances that relate to our inner world, our relationship with ourselves: 1) Sauca, clarity; 2) Santosha, contentment; 3) Tapas, discipline; 4) Svadhyaya, self-study; and 5) Isvarapranidhana, surrender of the ego to a higher power.

These are paired with the five Yamas, which guide our our interactions with other people and the world at large: 1) Ahimsa, nonviolence; 2) Satya, truthfulness; 3) Asteya, non-stealing; 4) Brahmacharya, fidelity; and 5) Aparigraha, non-grasping.

These philosophy principles of Yoga were developed thousands of years ago and are more relevant today than ever. They help you be your best self and let your light shine in this tumultuous, uncertain world.

If the weather permits, the retreat will be outside, possibly with hot stones for extra relaxation and comfort. If it’s cold or rainy, the class will be inside, masked and distanced. Either way, sound COVID protocols will be followed. There will be some gentle yoga and movement woven throughout as well.

Whether you have kids or not, I invite you celebrate yourself in circle as we nurture our bodies & souls. Click here to register or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
