Ask Leah! The Ingles Dietitian
Sponsored: Brown eggs vs. white eggs, any difference?
Question: Are brown eggs better or healthier than white and do they taste different?
Answer: The color of a chicken’s eggshell is based on the breed/type of chicken and has nothing to do with the interior of the egg or the nutritional content. Some breeds lay white eggs and other lay brown, blue and even green eggs. Brown eggs may make us think they are more “natural” because we are used to seeing white eggs in the store, but there is no difference.
