‘Spectacular’ nature photography on exhibit at Cradle of Forestry

out photofoxes“Spectacular Southern Appalachians” is the theme of a Nature Photography Exhibit by the mountain chapter of the Carolinas Nature Photographers Association that will be on display until July 31 at the Cradle of Forestry.

The exhibit has more than 50 images that celebrate the beauty and wonder of Western North Carolina’s landscapes, flora and fauna. It conveys the group’s goal to develop a community that celebrates the beauty of nature through photography, and promotes an appreciation of nature within the region.

The photographers belong to the Asheville Region Chapter of The Carolinas’ Nature Photographers Association, founded in 1992 as a non-profit organization to promote nature photography in the Carolinas, to help conserve and preserve the diverse natural ecosystems in the Carolinas and to educate others interested in nature photography.

The Cradle of Forestry is located on U.S. 276 four miles south of the Blue Ridge Parkway.

We don’t plan to change that model. Support from our readers will help us maintain and strengthen the editorial independence that is crucial to our mission to help make Western North Carolina a better place to call home. If you are able, please support The Smoky Mountain News.
