Taking control of your digital photography
Master photographer Ed Kelley is teaching a four-week course in “Taking Control of Your Digital Photography” from 6:30-9 p.m., beginning Sept. 11, at First Baptist Church in Waynesville.
Classes are geared toward those with some experience and who own a DSLR, advanced point and shoot, or any digital camera that has a manual mode. Class size is limited to 12.
The basic tenets of photography such as shutter speed and f-stop, exposure and composition will be taught. The more technical aspects will be taught with on-screen demos, comparisons and charts.
Kelley is a self-taught digital photographer and artist with much experience in shooting film, graphic design, computers in general, painting and drawing in a variety of mediums.
“Capturing better images means taking control of your camera and the images it produces,” Kelley said. “I have designed my classes to simplify important technical aspects of digital photography that stand in the way of improving photography skills.”
The class costs $125 and continues every Tuesday for four weeks, plus an outdoor hands-on photo shoot.
