1. The 28th annual PumpkinFest will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, in downtown Franklin.

2. A special stage production of Agatha Christie’s legendary whodunit “The Mousetrap” will be held at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 17-19, 25-26, Nov. 8-9, 15-16 and 2 p.m. Oct. 20, 27, Nov. 10 and 17 at the Haywood Arts Regional Theatre in Waynesville .

3. Kentucky singer-songwriter Dalton Mills will perform at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, on the side-lawn stage at Yonder Community Market in Franklin.

4. Stecoah Harvest Festival will return Oct. 18-19 to the Stecoah Valley Cultural Arts Center in Robbinsville.

5. The pumpkin patch and hayrides will continue through Oct. 31 at Darnell Farms in Bryson City
