Letters to the Editor

Ripped off by leftist operatives

To the Editor:

I read the newspaper one morning when visiting the area last weekend and was legitimately shocked when I got to the Letters to the Editor section. The U.S. government has been exposed to be a multi-trillion-dollar corrupt money laundering organization, and I was surprised how many of your readers are perfectly OK with it.

The U.S. government is neither a service nor a business. The U.S. government is supposed to work for you, no one else. Wake up, it's your money, not theirs. Regarding how Social Security will survive when their offices close, how do you think they survived for 2.5 years while the offices were closed for COVID? All of us have been ripped off by leftist corrupt operatives and now someone is finally doing something about it, thank God. Wake up to reality!

We don’t plan to change that model. Support from our readers will help us maintain and strengthen the editorial independence that is crucial to our mission to help make Western North Carolina a better place to call home.
