Jackson County hosts ‘Archery 101’ class

The Jackson County Recreation Department has announced it will host an “Archery 101” class for kids ages 10-14. 

Haywood Extension hosts ‘learn to grow’ classes

Anyone interested in learning to grow fall vegetables is encouraged to attend the Haywood County Extension Office’s “learn to grow” class. 

Interested in healthy gardening?

Studies have shown that gardening has numerous health benefits for all ages and physical abilities, and mobility issues don’t mean people have to drop their passion. 

Haywood Extension composting class

Bonnie Refinski-Knight, an N.C. State Extension Master Gardner volunteer, will host a presentation on composting. The class will include an example of a compost bin.
