An aerial shot of downtown Waynesville shows that main roads were clear and town was bustling Sunday despite 8 to 10 inches that accumulated Friday and Saturday. 

Haywood County Schools remain closed Monday, Jan. 25, due to icy road conditions. 

A State of Emergency was issued for Haywood County late Thursday but was lifted Sunday evening as the temperatures reached mid-40s.
