Take a volunteer trail vacation on the AT

The Appalachian Trail Conservancy’s Rocky Top Trail Crew is looking for horse packers and crew volunteers this fall to help maintain the Appalachian Trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

The ATC will provide food, tools, equipment, and professional trail crew leaders to aid volunteers. The Rocky Top Crew, in its 15th year this year, focuses exclusively on the 35 miles of the A.T. in the Smokies that allow horses.

There will be five trail sessions in September and October. Horse packers are needed to bring in supplies, as well as volunteers to spend a week doing trail work.
