Sept. 11 commemoration invites first responders

A free event for all emergency responders and veterans will be held in Bryson City on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 3 p.m. at Riverfront Park, in remembrance of the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Sponsored by retired Charlotte Fire Captain and Western North Carolina House Rep. Mike Clampitt since 2016, the event will have food available and a formal ceremony at 6 p.m. Clampitt will be on hand to distribute challenge coins. Questions? Call Clampitt directly at 828.736.6222
